My go-to place shipping/mailing for both business and personal items. Excellent customer service and are thorough with making sure things are done well and right. I can't imagine getting a follow-up email from the post office to double check if I wanted a printed receipt after a large order (I received an email receipt with tracking #s, costs, etc).

You will need two forms of identification to open a mailbox per USPS Requirements:

A state drivers license and passport are the two preferred forms to use. Additionally, you will be required to update the 1583 form with us when your physical address changes or when the ID you provided expires.

Yes and No! This is better than a PO Box. PO Boxes only allow you to receive US Mail and packages in many cases. Your private mailbox with us gives you a real street address for UPS, FedEx, Amazon, Freight and mail. Basically anything you could receive at a home address, you can receive with us (additional fees may apply for freight and other large items, please see rental agreement for details).

Yes! You can receive packages from any carrier with our Private Mailbox Rentals. Packages are dropped off during business hours. Small packages can be placed in mailboxes, larger packages are held in our secure facility to be picked up at your convenience. Never miss a package delivery again.

Yes! Simply fill out of the form at the sign up link or the bottom of the page and pay online. You will be sent a link to upload photo and address verification documents and give us a little more information required by the Post Office. The final step is to sign and have a Post Office document notarized with all of your information. At that point you will be able to start using your new address for mail and packages.

UPS Store mailboxes typically run 2 to 3 times the price of a PO Box or Private Mailbox at a Post And Parcel store. Because of their name recognition they charge more for exactly the same services we offer.

Absolutely. We can receive mail and packages exactly like a home address or PO Box. The only thing you wont be able to use it for is physical address verification for another private mailbox, bank account or business location on Google.

Yes and no. You need to have a physical address in order to rent a PO Box or a private mailbox. To do this requires verification of a physical address. If you are homeless or living out of your car or rv a lease agreement with a local church or charity for a bed for $1 can also be used. It just needs to be signed by an authority at the church or charity office.

This happens all of the time. We will place a notice in your mailbox and send you an email notification that you have received a package. You can come in during business hours to pick up your package at your convenience.

Chronically overfilled mailboxes are subject to overflow fees however if it happens just once or twice a year or you happen to be out on vacation don't worry about it. We will place a package holding slip in your mailbox for you and you can collect all of your mail during regular business hours.

We will hold your mail and packages so long as your mailbox is in good standing. For extremely large packages we ask that you retrieve packages within a couple of days to a week.

THE DOCUMENTS:

There are two main documents you will need to review, fill out and sign. You can preview them below. Information is shared with the United States Postal Service to initiate delivery of mail to your new mailbox.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Two types of identification are required for every person being added to the box who is 18 years old or older. One piece of identification must contain a photograph. Social Security cards, credit cards, and birth certificates are not able to be used as identification. All documents are subject to verification.

Acceptable identification includes:

– Valid driver’s license or state non-driver’s identification card.
– Armed forces, government, university, or recognized corporate identification card
– Passport, alien registration card or certificate of naturalization
– Current lease, mortgage or Deed of Trust
– Voter or vehicle registration card
– Home or vehicle insurance policy

For a business one person will need to be the primary contact and have identification as described above available. Additionally, the articles of incorporation for the business are also required.

SIGN UP IN PERSON:

Come into Bellingham Post And Parcel, 1780 Iowa Street, Bellingham WA 98229 during business hours with you Id and address verification documentation and we can fill out the forms for you, let you pick out your mailbox number and get you keys and a door code. The whole process usually takes about 10-15 minutes. Early mornings and after 3 are usually the best times to come in for the shortest waits.

SIGN UP REMOTELY:

The option to sign up remotely is only available to residents of the United States. Canadian customers may be able to sign up remotely initially, but will be required to sign documentation in person before mail or packages can be forwarded or picked up.

Step 1: Download and print our Mailbox Agreement Form.
– Initial each paragraph along the left side
– Fill out Email and Phone Number on Page 2
– Sign and Date
– Have the Notary sign and stamp anywhere on the page.

Step 2: Download and print the required Post Office Application for Delivery of Mail Through Agent and fill out the following sections:
1. Todays Date
6. Your First and Last name
7a-e. Fill in your current physical address and phone number including area code
8a. Select a Picture ID from the list above. Fill out the type of ID and the identification number. For example (Drivers License: MCCOLAJ165BG)
8b. Select an ID from the list above. Fill out the type of ID and the identification number.
15. Signature of Notary Public (Stamp can be placed anywhere on the signature page but must be legible)

Step 3: Send in the original notarized documentation. Copies are not able to be accepted. Once your documentation is received we will contact you for payment and to assign you a mailbox number. If you need a mailbox number now, please complete all the steps but you can contact us at (360) 647-8556 and we can collect your information over the phone and get a box assigned to you with your payment. You will not be able to pick up or forward mail until your official documentation is received.

Once Identification has been submitted, a Post And Parcel employee will review your documentation (please allow up to 72 hrs) and assign you a mailbox number which you can use immediately.

Before mail can be picked up or forwarded you will need to sign our mailbox rental agreement and your USPS 1583. This can be done at the time of your first mail or package pickup or online for a fee.
